Carlos Alfaro is a retired schoolteacher of over 30 years, for the Montebello Unified School District. He is the founder of Aztlan Athletic Congress and Aztlan Track Club (1968) . Mr. Alfaro has developed national scholar athletes and continues to coach one of the oldest tack clubs in Southern California. Carlos is a consultant to various organization and provides grass roots outreach to the various inner city running clubs in Los Angeles County. Carlos bring over 40 years combined experience track and field, and cross-country. He currently hold state records at East Los Angeles College and was recently enshrined in the East Los Angeles Hall of Fame. Mr. Alfaro qualified for the 1968 Olympic Trials in the marathon. He is known is a silent leader and mentor in the various communities of Southern California.
