Dr. Laura Andrade has been working in the research and evaluation field for over 20 years. Her areas of expertise include child welfare, substance abuse, mental health, and cultural competency; harm reduction and health promotion as well as prevention strategies. Dr. Andrade has worked with many local and national agencies as a therapist, program manager and research consultant. These agencies include the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Services, Casey Foundation, Arizona’s Children Association, Tucson Parks and Recreation Department and the University of Southern California. Dr. Andrade has evaluated several major grant projects funded by the Center for Disease Control, Substance Abuse Mental Health Service Administration, and the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. Most recently Dr. Andrade accepted a part-time position in the Masters of Social Work program at the University of Southern California teaching Research Methods.
